How to write a story (B1 - B2 - C1)

So as to make the story more attractive and easy to follow, make sure you organize the ideas in paragraphs. Remember that a story should have a beginning, a development and an end clearly identified.

You should use linking words to indicate how the action develops. Here you have some useful expressions:

  • First of all; the first thing that happened; at first; it began with; it started with; in the beginning; firstly...

  • After that; just then; afterwards; when; meanwhile; while that was happening; once (meaning after); just as; then; after some time...

  • Suddenly; out of the sudden; gradually; step by step; inmediately; slowly...

  • In the end; eventually...

  • Finally; it ended with; eventually; in the end; to sum up, to put it simply and succinctly...

A little advice: You must come up with some ideas in order to create a breathtaking story.
